‘DEEP ROOTS, SILENT BLOOMS’

A collection that involves paintings and sculptures. Gündüz associates the human spiritual journey with the transformation of seasons and nature by anchoring the exhibition in John Keats’ poem The Human Seasons. From the hopeful awakening of spring to the vibrancy of summer, from the quiet acceptance of autumn to the introspective retreat of winter, this cyclical flow is reflected in the artist’s
compositions. Each painting captures the subtle narratives of nature—the silent passage of time, the resilience of flowers that bloom with patience, and the unseen forces that shape growth. Layered techniques evoke the deep, unseen roots of life beneath the surface, while dynamic color palettes signal renewal and transformation. Gündüz’s brushwork shifts between fluid, ephemeral gestures and richly textured surfaces, echoing the organic rhythms of nature.

A.R.C.’S YEAR SHOW II

ARC aims to give the opportunity to creative souls a space to research, cultivate their practice, and create in an environment with a connection to the Anatolian landscape of Cappadocia; a special region of Turkey with a rich cultural heritage and even more importantly a landscape that spikes all the senses.

Showing the artworks emerging from these residency programs for some time in Cappadocia as well as in the Ambidexter Gallery in Istanbul. Eliz Gündüz’s triptych work from the art residency is showcasing at Ambidexter till 24th March.

CONTEMPORARY ISTANBUL 18th EDITION

Eliz Gündüz took part in Contemporary Istanbul together with Mariana Custodio Art Gallery, a gallery based in Lisbon and Istanbul. Four paintings exhibited in the art fair. The fair lasted from 26 September to 1 October.

‘THEORY OF BLOOM’

Group show with Büyükdere35 Contemporary Art Gallery, in Istanbul. This selection, which includes my 2022 paper works and my sculpture and canvas work that I produced specifically for the exhibition concept, makes sense of how we can bring the phases of a flower and the world we live in into our own reality.
